Welcome to Lokin ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lokin, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Description of Service
Lokin is a productivity and focus application designed to help users stay focused during study or work sessions. The App uses Apple's Screen Time API to monitor app usage activity on your device and provides focus scoring, session tracking, and performance analytics.
All data processing occurs locally on your device. We do not operate remote servers for user data collection or storage.
3. User Accounts
The App currently does not require user account creation. All functionality is available without registration. If future versions introduce account features, these Terms will be updated accordingly.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Lokin only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any part thereof.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's source code or underlying systems.
- Use the App to develop competing products or services.
- Distribute, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party without our consent.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the App.
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to the design, graphics, text, logos, icons, and software, are the exclusive property of Lokin and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
6. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Focus scores and analytics are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole measure of productivity.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lokin and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App from your device. All data stored locally on your device will be permanently removed upon deletion.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
